Bellin, like most Rain Wilder women, has had trouble getting pregnant and bringing the pregnancy to term. She helps deliver Jerd's premature stillborn baby while sternly cautioning the other young woman onboard Tarman that they should not give themselves up to man unless he's willing to stand by her side and help with the childbearing and childcare.
